Das Johanniter-Kinderhaus „Purzelbaum“ beteiligte sich an der Regio-Plus-Challenge unter dem Motto „Iss, was um die Ecke wächst!“. An drei Tagen wurden ausschließlich regionale und biologische Produkte aus der Umgebung für die Zubereitung der Mahlzeiten verwendet. Das gesamte Johanniter-Kinderhaus nahm an dieser besonderen Aktion teil.
Von Montag, den 30. September, bis zum Freitag, den 04. Oktober, beteiligte sich das Johanniter-Kinderhaus „Purzelbaum“ an der Regio-Plus-Challenge unter dem Motto „Iss, was um die Ecke wächst!“. An drei Tagen wurden ausschließlich regionale und biologische Produkte aus der Umgebung für die Zubereitung der Mahlzeiten verwendet. Das gesamte Johanniter-Kinderhaus, von den Kleinsten bis hin zum pädagogischen Einrichtungsteam, nahm an dieser besonderen Aktion teil, die den Kindern auf spielerische Weise die Bedeutung von regionaler Ernährung näherbrachte.
Vielfalt der regionalen Landwirtschaft schätzen
Jeden Morgen diskutierten die Kinder im Morgenkreis, welche Lebensmittel regional sind und welche nicht. Gemeinsam mit den Erzieherinnen und Erziehern markierten sie auf einer Karte die Standorte, von denen die verwendeten Lebensmittel stammten. Dies half den Kindern nicht nur, die Herkunft ihrer Nahrung besser zu verstehen, sondern auch, die Vielfalt der regionalen Landwirtschaft zu schätzen. Die interaktiven Lerneinheiten wurden von den Kleinen mit großem Interesse aufgenommen und führten zu spannenden Diskussionen über Nachhaltigkeit und gesunde Ernährung.
Kinder kochen mit
Zusammen mit der Köchin der Kita Beate Griesbeck bereiteten die Kinder der Johanniter-Einrichtung, die Mahlzeiten selbst vor. Sie halfen dabei, die Zutaten zu schneiden und das gemeinsame Kochen zu einem Erlebnis zu machen. Diese praktische Erfahrung stärkte nicht nur das Bewusstsein für frische Lebensmittel, sondern förderte auch das Gemeinschaftsgefühl.
