Nicht schlecht staunten Dachdecker am Mittwochnachmittag, als sie bei Arbeiten auf einem Hausdach im Fährenweg unter den Dachziegeln eine „Granate“ vorfanden.
Am Mittwoch, den 23. Oktober, fanden Dachdecker auf einem Hausdach unter den Dachziegeln eine „Granate“ vorfanden. Nachdem sich Beamte der Polizeiinspektion Nittendorf ein Bild über den Fund vor Ort machten, wurde die Technische Sondergruppe des Bayerischen Landeskriminalamtes verständigt, welche zum Fundort kam und die „Granate“ begutachtete.
Schrapnellgranate geborgen und entsorgt
Wie sich herausstellte, handelte es sich um die leere Hülle einer sogenannte Schrapnellgranate aus dem Ersten Weltkrieg. Wie diese dorthin gelangte und wie lange sie schon dort lag, konnte nicht geklärt werden. Zu keinem Zeitpunkt ging weder für die Hausbewohner, noch für Anwohner eine Gefahr von der „Granate“ aus. Die funktionsunfähige „Granate“ wurde von der Technischen Sondergruppe geborgen und zur fachgerechten Entsorgung mitgenommen.
